Playing Since: In 1st grade I wrote songs with friends and sang them at talent shows. Took saxophone lessons in 4th grade. I joined my 1st real band in 1994.

Influences: So hard! The Beatles are far and away my favorite band. I think artists like The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Weezer, The Rolling Stones, Elvis, Pearl Jam, MU330, The Counting Crows, The Black Crowes, Michael Jackson, Sublime, Aretha Franklin, NOFX, Uncle Tupelo, Tom Petty, 311, Jimi Hendrix, Prince, Nirvana, The Jackson 5, REM, Stone Temple Pilots, Elton John, Blues Traveler, Green Day, Ben Folds, Cracker, Boyz II Men, Stevie Wonder and The Impossibles have all had an affect on me musically. And I think I'm still being influenced by the stuff i listen to now.

why'd u start playing music: I don't know. I think it happened pretty naturally and one day I realized I was a little more "into it" than most people.

1st concert: Counting Crows, Buffalo Tom, and Sam Phillips June 28th 1994 at The American Theater in St. Louis. This was life altering.

best concert i've seen: So hard. Ones that stick out are: Kiss, Ryan Adams, Counting Crows, 311, Dave Matthews / Tim Reynolds

favorite moment on the road: SXSW 2004 year was one of the best times of my life. Every Iowa City show w. The Dog & Everything. Spring Break shows - 2005. Whenever Tyson from Pomeroy plays onstage with us.
