Ludo on TRL and MTV2!!!

Hey Everyone!

So the record has been out for 3 weeks now, and things are going great. If you don't have it yet, PLEASE head to the store and pick one up, or swing by iTunes. It's called "You're Awful, I Love You" and it rules.

Thanks to all your help, we were victorious in the voting and now you can catch our video for "Love Me Dead" on mtvU. And since then, we've gotten more good news from MTV, but we need your help. First of all, we've been added to the "Wildcard Voting" for MTV2's "You Rock the Deuce." So if you want to see us played regularly on mtv2,
head to:
http://www.mtv2.com/uploads/you_rock_the_deuce/deuce_form_new.jhtml
fill out a playlist, and under #2 - guess who you should pick?
So hit it up, and spread the word.

And in even crazier, more bizarre MTV news, our video for "Love Me Dead" is going to be on MTV's TRL tomorrow!! Weird, right?
So tune in tomorrow, Wednesday at 3:30pm ET/PT to see it. And then, let's let them know you want to see it again by going here:
http://www.mtv.com/ontv/dyn/trl/TRLvoting.jhtm

Spread the word, tune in tomorrow, and hope to see you all on the road SOON!!!!

You're Awful, I Love You

It's out and and it's everywhere. Go buy it!!!!!

2.19.2008

"You're Awful, I Love You" hits stores one week from today. If you're in the St. Louis area, head over to Vintage Vinyl right now and pre-order the album. You'll get a wristband which will get you into our acoustic in-store performance at Vintage Vinyl one week from today. If you're anywhere else you can pre-order the CD HERE or just head to your favorite record store next week. If you're wondering where it will be, you can ask your favorite record stores now. Tell them you want it! But... Best Buys are always a safe bet, and most cool independent stores should carry it as well. And of course it will be on iTunes.

But enough about that - we need your help. We're in an online contest for mtvU called "The Freshman 5." Our video for "Love Me Dead" is up against 4 other videos. The video that gets the most votes THIS WEEK gets added to rotation on mtvU...so wee need you to VOTE then vote again and please spread the word!!!!

We've got a big week next week, so check the TOUR PAGE. We've got release shows in St. Louis, Kansas City, and Chicago and special acoustic in-store performances in St. Louis, St. Charles, Chicago, and Columbia, MO. Please come join us - and WEAR ORANGE!!!!

24 days away!

"You're Awful, I Love You" hits stores Tuesday, February 26th - that's 25 days away! We've got a lot planned for the release week. On top of the release shows we'll be playing in Kansas City, Chicago, and St. Louis you can expect some in-store performances and a few radio visits as well. Look for all that info in the next few days. In the meantime, the album is getting a few reviews already (like this one: http://mixtapesheartbreaks.wordpress.com/2008/01/30/the-horror-of-our-love/) and quite a few radio stations are playing "Love Me Dead." If you hear it - call 'em and tell 'em to play it again!

Speaking of "Love Me Dead" we went ahead and made another video for it. You can see it right now HERE. Leave us a comment. And if you're not getting your fill of Ludo video action, don't panic. New episodes of The Ludo Video Thing are right around the corner, and after a holiday hiatus should be rolling again by Monday at the latest. So keep an eye on www.Youtube.com/theludovideothing

Where can i get the record? What can i do to spread the word? In the next few days we'll have some details on exactly where you can get the record (including pre-order info), AND what you can do to help word out about the "You're Awful..." In the meantime, just about every Best Buy in the country should have the record, and most Targets in the midwest. As far as spreading the word...Myspace. Put up the countdown clock from our page, use the album cover as your default pic, put Ludo - 2/26 on you username. More on this soon!

And speaking of myspace, the tour diaries are in full effect yet again, and keep getting better. So drop by our myspace page and check 'em out. Also - we just announced some tour dates, including our 4th appearance at the South by Southwest music festival in Austin, TX. We want YOU in our video for "Love Me Dead"

We're putting together a video for "Love Me Dead" and we want you (and as many people as possible) to be in it.  Here's what we need you to do:

1. If you haven't yet, go to www.purevolume.com/ludo and download "Love Me Dead." It's free!!
2. Grab a camera, a toothbrush, some paste and a mirror.
3. Videotape yourself singing along to the song in the mirror while brushing your teeth.
4. Send it to us!

Here's a video to give you a better idea of what we're looking for;

We want to get as many people as we can, and we want to USE as much of it as we can.  Here are some things to keep in mind to make sure that YOU make the final video!

- Do the WHOLE song! Take some time to learn the words. Make sure we can hear the recording, but also hear YOU singing!
- Use a tripod, or place the camera on a steady surface - it'll be hard for us to use it, if it's shakin' around.
- Lotsa light!! Bring lamps into the bathroom if you need to, but make sure it's not too dark!
- HAVE FUN!!!!! Dance, rock out, be funny. Pretend you're alone listenin' to some Ludo to start your day, pretend you're Andrew, pretend whatever you like.   As long as you're singing to "Love Me Dead" and brushing your teeth, we want to see what you can do!

What kind of camera should i use?
-  Phone camera - Probably not going to cut it!
- Legit Video Camera - Your best bet is to use a real video camera, send us the tape (best case scenario - a MiniDV tape).
- Digital Camera - If you use the video feature on your digital camera, you can burn the file to a CD, DVD, or if you're way-savvy, upload to an ftp and send us the link. Make sure to use the highest quality setting on your camera so you're not all grainy and pixelated and stuff.

If you want to shoot your friends, your kids, your parents, your grandparents, anyone....Do it! We want all kinds of different people, so go for it.
We're trying to get everything by October 17th, which is REALLY soon, so get brushing!!!

If you've got any questions, or you're ready to mail stuff to us, email us at LudoFilms@gmail.com

THANKS!!!!

New Tour Dates!

5.11.2007

So the O.A.R. tour has come to an end, and it was a rocking good time. We played some huge shows, met some cool people, and had a blast with the O.A.R. dudes and their entire crew, (even Randy who we thought hated us, but turned out he was just really focused.) We especially want to thank the Ludo fans that made it out to these shows, some of whom drove ridiculous distances. It was really nice to see some familiar faces in the huge crowds every night.

If you made it to any of these shows, you probably heard quite a few from our new record. We're home now, taking a few weeks to put some finishing touches on the record, and doing our best to get it out as soon as possible. We really like the way things are going right now and we're confident that we'll have a release date VERY soon! We'll also be announcing more dates soon, but we're looking forward to Lollapalooza and a few Warped Tour dates in August. Find out more on the TOUR PAGE.

Happy New Year!! Big News!!

Well, we at Ludo Band LLC have had a pleasant holiday break, but it's a new year and it's time to get back to work! We play the Metro in Chicago this Saturday w/ Amsterband, State & Madison, The Honour Recital, and Treaty of Paris. It's our first show of 2007 and will actually be our last show for a while so if you're anywhere near the Windy City and need a little Ludo in your life, this is your chance.

But wait! Last show for a while? Why? What's going on? Well, we're very pleased to announce that shortly after the Metro show we'll be heading to Los Angeles to begin work on our second full-length album. We'll be working with producer Matt Wallace who has produced albums for The Replacements, Sugarcult, Faith No More, and Maroon 5. It will be a while before we have an official release date, but we're going to do everything in our power to get it to you as soon as possible. We'll be posting plenty of news, updates, and hopefully video from the studio, so please check back often. We hope you guys are as excited as we are.

12.15.2006

Wow! A Very Ludo Christmas 2006 was everything we hoped it would be. Thank you so much to everyone who made it so special, especially Building Rome, Tally Hall and everyone at The Pageant. A very big thanks also goes to the great Nick Sergenian without whom, AVLC '06 would have only been a fraction of the spectacle that it was. We're going to spend some time writing in St. Louis, then we'll take a little time off for Christmas. First show of 2007 is going to be a huge one at The Metro w/ Treaty of Paris and Amsterband. So get ready! You can get tickets HERE.

12.3.06

We're less than 1 week away from A Very Ludo Christmas 2006. We're working hard to make it the best Ludo show of the year. Tickets are available now. They WILL be available at the door that night, but they're cheaper if you get them in advance. BUY THEM HERE. It all goes down this Saturday night at The Pageant in St. Louis - we'll see you there for the last Ludo show of 2006!

10.29.06
Ahhhh.... The Holidays.

First of all, we want to say thanks to the 500+ people that came out to The Blue Note in Columbia last night for "Nightmare on 9th Street II." It was a great night and we're already looking forward to next year. Thanks to The State, The F*Bombs, and Upside and special thanks to THE BUZZ for making it such a great night. Congratulations to Pebbles and Bam-Bam for winning the costume contest. We'll have pictures on our site soon, and if you've got any, please post 'em under the tour diary on myspace.

And now we're very excited to announce our 3rd annual Christmas Extravaganza. "A Very Ludo Christmas 2006" will take place Saturday, December 9th at The Pageant in St. Louis, Missouri. Joining us that evening will be fellow St. Louisans, Building Rome and our good friends from Michigan, Tally Hall. You should not miss this show. Oh, and the St. Louis Cardinals are WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

More on Island

Alright, so here's more news on the last update. On Tuesday, October 3rd we signed our final papers making Ludo an Island Records recording artist. Island Records is home to artists like Bon Jovi, Fall-Out Boy, Mariah Carey, Lionel Richie, Thursday, Sum 41 and The Killers. Our search for a label has been a long one, but we were lucky enough to have several options and we're thrilled with how things have turned out. What does all this mean? All it really means is that the next Ludo album will come out on Island Records. Which means we'll have their help in getting our music to more people. Other than that, it's the same Ludo. We'll continue to push ourselves musically, tour as hard as we can, and put our music and our fans first. We've already got a quite a few songs written for the next album and we're in the process of picking producers and figuring out exactly where and when we'll be recording. Obviously we'll keep you posted, but the record will be out sometime next year and we hope you're as excited about it as we are.

In the meantime, when we're not recording or writing we plan to be on the road playing shows. We just put a few new dates up and we'll keep them coming. We really want to thank everyone for all their help and support, particularly all the people that come out to Ludo shows. None of this would be possible without you. In talking to all the labels over the last several months, we kept hearing one thing over and over: "Your fans are amazing!" We completely agree.

10.4.06
Island Records

Last night, we signed to Island Records. We're on the road and we'll fill in more later, but wanted to announce it officially here. We're very, very excited and can't thank you enough for all of your support from the last 3 years to the next 20. Thank you.

10.2.06

LOTS OF NEWS

First off, thanks to EVERYONE who came out to the 2 shows at The Creepy Crawl last week. It was a very special night for us and was great seeing so many people at both shows. If you missed it, you missed a hot, sweaty night that featured great openers and every single song that Ludo knows how to play! Check out the TOUR DIARY for more details.

Speaking of St. Louis, we really want to thank the staff and readers of The Riverfront Times. We won the 2006 RFT Music Award for "Best Rock Band," and they wrote a smashing little article about us that you can check out HERE. And as if that's not enough, the RFT's annual "Best of St. Louis" issue (available all over the Lou right now) names our song "Japan It" as "Best Local Single of the last 12 months." Yes! Local singles are awesome!

Ok, one more thing. We just found out that we're one of four winners of the Ernie Ball Warped Tour Battle of the Bands. We won quite a bit of new equipment, so we should be sounding better soon! And we'll be playing the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands showcase party in Los Angeles which is set to air on Fuse TV. We'll keep you posted.

9.22.06

Tomorrow night is the big show...big showS at The Creepy Crawl. There are still plenty of tickets left for both shows, so check 'em out at www.creepycrawl.com or get 'em at the show. Doors for the 1st show are at 4:30 and and the second starts at 8:30. We're playing two different sets (including just about every Ludo song you've ever heard) and we have different openers for each show, so don't be afraid to make a night of it and join us for both shows. See you there!

8.29.2006
LOVE ME DEAD

We finally put a new song up on Myspace.com. It's a song called "Love Me Dead" that we've been playing live for almost 2 years. This version is a demo we did a while ago and we hope to record it again for our next album. So check it out HERE and be sure to leave us a comment or email us and let us know what you think.

Shows have been great, and we've got some cool ones coming up. We've also updated the tour diary (with some HOT pictures) so be sure to check that out too. More news soon!

8.6.06

We're still writing. Thanks to everyone who saw us last week at the Warped Tour shows and at The Hedgpeth Festival. We had a great time and got to see tons of cool bands in one week. We're in Wisconsin right now writing songs for a new record and it's going very well because we're taking breaks to swim and play tennis... that's right: Tennis! We'll continue to post demos on myspace, so keep checking that out. We'll see some of you in Indianapolis this weekend and check the shows page for new shows in Houston, Chicago, Champaign, Little Rock, and Madison. AND we just announced that we'll be returning to St. Louis with two shows on September 23rd at The Creepy Crawl. We've got Centerpointe and Amsterband playing the 1st one and The Feed and Treaty of Paris playing the second. You can buy tickets now at www.creepycrawl.com and you get a special price if you go to both shows. Keep an eye on the tour page for LOTS more shows in the fall. Ok, back to writing...

7.18.06

Oh man the Rockies are about to get rocky-er! (wow, take a moment to drink that line in if you want.) We just added another Warped Tour date, so if you are in the Rocky Mountain area please come out and show some Ludo love. We will be playing on the Smartpunk Stage this Sunday, July 23, in Denver at Invesco Field.

6.25.06

Sorry it's been so long since an update. First of all thanks to everyone who came out to the Lawrence show at The Granada this weekend. It was the best show we've had in a while and we can't wait to get back out on the road. We're spending some time in Kansas and continuing to write songs we're very excited about. We'll continue to have writing updates and new demos from time to time on myspace, so be sure to check it all out at www.myspace.com/ludorock.

And keep an eye out for a the handful of shows we're playing this summer like July 6th at the Ann Arbor Summer Festival and Hedgpeth Festival featuring The Flaming Lips, Primus, They Might be Giants, The D&E, Pomeroy and the St. Louis stop of the Vans Warped Tour!!

5.27.06

Summertime is almost here. Can you feel it? We're sure you've noticed that we don't have a ton of shows coming up this summer. (However we're playing a BIG headlining show June 23rd @ The Granada in Lawrence.) We'll certainly be announcing more (including some really cool ones) but we're going to take a lot of time this summer to write songs. The good news is that we've been recording demos and we're going to start putting some new tracks on myspace and purevolume. Click either link and you can hear a BRAND NEW LUDO SONG called "Please." Let us know what you think...please.

Want to know what's going on with the songs we're writing? Convy just wrote a BLOG about the new songs, shows and all sorts of inside Ludo stuff. You can check it out HERE. We've also got a new live video for "Hum Along" that we shot at the "Cinco de Mustache" show in St. Louis. It's pretty crazy, with tons of quality mustache shots. You can check it out HERE or at www.myspace.com/ludorock. Also - Andrew's TOUR DIARY is currently very up-to-date, crowd shots and all. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll probably be offended. Check it out.

5.11.2006

We want to thank EVERYONE who showed up last week for making "Cinco de Mustache" such a good time for everyone. Special thanks to Adam Richman, Quietdrive, and Princeton for being a part of it. We've got lots of cool pictures on the way (and maybe some video too!) but for now, you can get a good look at all the mustaches from that night by clicking HERE. They're hilarious!

Also - We just got 2 new T-shirts and they're available at the Ludo store now. Just a few more dates with Quietdrive and Adam Richman, hope to see many of you out in Chicago this Sunday night for the last show of the tour. It's going to be a doozey!

5.3.06

We're just two days away from Cinco de Mustache. It's THIS FRIDAY at the Pageant in St. Louis. Can you handle it? A few things to remember - 1. We very strongly encourage you to sport a mustache (real or fake) to this show. If you're one of the 1st 100 people there w/ a mustache, you get a free t-shirt. (Ponchos, sombrero's, etc also encouraged) 2. We've got 2 brand new T-shirts that we'll be debuting at this show. 3. You can get tickets at the door that night, or buy them in advance by clicking HERE. 4. Doors open at 7pm. 5. This show could very easily change your life.

We're on the road right now with Quietdrive and Adam Richman. It's been a lot of fun and you'll be able to hear more about it on our TOUR DIARY. That's it for now, keep an eye out for new tour dates and get your mustaches ready. And have you heard our new song "Japan It"? It's unreleased but we've been playing live and you can check it out right now, only at www.myspace.com/ludorock See you Friday!!!!

4.5.06

Alright. Lots of news. First of all we've got a ton of big shows coming up and you're an idiot if you don't check out the TOUR PAGE. We've got shows all over but here are some important ones - we're throwing a beach party this Saturday night in Columbia, MO, we're playing a LUDOG show April 14th w/ The Dog & Everything in Chicago, we're rocking Omaha with Anchondo on April 21st and of course May 5th will be our "Cinco de Mustache" celebration at The Pageant in St. Louis. We've teamed up with the fine people at Slackers, and the 1st 100 people through the door sporting mustaches will get a free Ludo Cinco de Mustache T-shirt. Here's the deal - Guys must have REAL mustaches and no beards. If there's hair on your chin you're out of luck. Ladies - fake mustaches will get you a shirt, but they have to be nice and actually stuck on! It's a dream of ours to look at the crowd from the stage and see a crowd full of mustaches staring back at us. Please - don't let us down. We've got Quietdrive, Princeton, and Adam Richman joining us. Tickets are available now RIGHT HERE.

And... been waiting for Broken Bride RINGTONES? Well they're here! You can now get "Part 1: Broken Bride" and "Save Our City" as ringtones on your cell phone. Be hip. What are you waiting for? And while you're there check out all of our other ringtones, including favorites like "Hum Along", "Girls on Trampolines", and the track that revolutionized the ringone industry, "Hot Brownies."

And in Ludorock.com news, we've added a new gallery to the PHOTOS section of the website. It's called Ludo Ink and consists of fan's Ludo tattoos. Thanks to to everyone for sending in the pictures... oh yeah - and for getting something Ludo tattooed on your body for the rest of your life! If you've got Ludo tat's or know someone who does, please send us pictures - marshall@ludorock.com. Go 'nals!

2/3/06

Hello, campers! All is well on the Golden Hawk of Desire tour. Quietdrive and Treaty of Paris are both killer bands and great guys - you should check 'em out. The hawk flies for one more week and we're excited to be breaking ground in the Great White North. And after the tour, we've got cool shows in Champaign (with our friends, Fifteen Minutes Late and Swizzletree) and Indianapolis - both coming up next week. And the week after that, we'll be blasting out some super-sweet shows in Ludo mainstays, Omaha and Wheaton. AND, we're continuing to add dates in February, March, and April. Check the tour page and mark your calendars!

1/16/06

Happy 2006! Sorry for the lack of updates, you know how it is... holidays and such. Well, we're very pleased that we're back on the road! We got things started with three shows this weekend that you can see pictures and read all about in the tour diary.

Next week we're recording some demos of some new songs we worked on over the holidays, and on Wednesday we've got the big hometown show with CHUCK BERRY at Blueberry Hill! Roll Over Beethoven

Hope you guys are enjoying the holidays. We've had some great some time off from shows and we've started working on some new music that we'll hopefully be debuting at shows next month. We're also very happy to announce that Christmas has come a little early for us this year and we recently found out that our first show of 2006 will be in our hometown of St. Louis, opening for one of heros, the man who invented Rock n' Roll: Chuck Berry. This is a dream come true for us and we'd like to share it with as many Ludo fans as possible! The show is Wednesday, January 18th at Blueberry Hill on the U City Loop. Everyone should see Chuck Berry at least once in their life. This show WILL sell out and tickets for this show make great Christmas presents for friends, family, parents, grandparents ...everybody! You can get them at Blueberry Hill, Metrotix locations, or HERE. We'll see you there!

We also want to thank everyone at WLCA 89.9 in Godfrey, IL. We spent Saturday there hanging out and playing a special on-air acoustic concert, the proceeds of which all went to the Boys & Girls Club of Alton, IL. WLCA raised a ton of money and we were honored to be a part of it. You can check out pictures from the day HERE. We've got more new pictures up in the galleries, including the 1st round of pictures from "A Very Ludo Christmas 2005." We've got more coming, so stay tuned. And the Tour Diary is now completely up-to-date for 2005. Feel free to relive the glory and triumphs of the year on the road HERE.

That's all for now. Everyone have a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and all that other stuff. Hopefully we'll have one more update before the new
year. ROCK.

12.13.2005
Thank You St. Louis

From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank everyone who was involved in making “A Very Ludo Christmas 2005” such an incredible night. It was the last Ludo show of 2005 and we can’t think of better way to end what’s been an amazing year for us. Big thanks The Hush Sound, The Dog & Everything, and special thanks to our friends in Loser’s Luck. All the bands helped make it an amazing night. We also want to thank everyone at The Pageant and our good friend Robert McClimans for all their hard work. But most of all we’d like to thank the 1400+ people who showed up to rock. It was a show we will never forget and we can’t wait for “AVLC 2006”

In other news…looks a little different around here, doesn’t it? We couldn’t be happier with our new website and hope you all enjoy it. Marshall Fanciullo, who also happens to play bass in a band called Ludo, did a hell of a job on it. Please take some time, cruise around and check out the new stuff. We’ll continue to add stuff in the days and weeks to come so keep checking back. And PLEASE let us know what you think of the site; give us some feedback on the message board HERE.

Speaking of adding stuff, we’re very happy to announce that in January we’ll be going on tour with the bands Quietdrive and Treaty of Paris. We’ve got a few dates up now and will be announcing more soon. If you’ve never seen Treaty of Paris or Quietdrive, you do NOT want to miss this tour. And if you have seen them… you already know that. Either way - we’re excited and we’ll be announcing more info soon. Expect some rather large Ludo headlining shows in some rather large Ludo hotbeds. We’ve got a whole lot planned for 2006 – lots of touring, rocking some new songs, some special shows, and don’t even get us started on Spring Break. Again, we thank you for all your support, it makes it all worth while

11.29.2005

And as we're sure you know, "A Very Ludo Christmas 2005" is 10 days away! Lots of people have been asking about the Ludo Christmas shirt. Well.... it will be available only at The Pageant on December 9th. We're only making 200 of them, and you can see what it looks like HERE. Tickets for the show are available now!!! Need a ride to the show? A place to stay? What should you wear? What does Palermo want for his birthday? Get on the Ludo message board and find all of this and more!

10.31.05

Bride Tour, Christmas and more!

The Broken Bride tour is in full swing, and things have been AMAZING. The reaction to the new songs has been overwhelming and we couldn't be happier to have the fans we have all over the country. We want to thank Purevolume.com for sponsoring the tour and all the bands that we've played with so far, especially The Feds, Amsterband, The Famed and of course, Lucky Boys Confusion. We've got quite a few shows left on this tour with bands like Rushmore Academy, The Effects, and Pomeroy.

We're also very happy to announce that "A Very Ludo Christmas" will take place this year on December 9th at The Pageant in St. Louis. The Christmas show last year was one of the best we've ever done and we've got even more in store this year. This will also mark our first ever headlining show at The Pageant and we can't wait. We'll be announcing the other bands and ticket information soon, so stay tuned.

Also check out the new track jackets in the Ludo store!!!!

10.5.2005

Sorry, for the serious lack of updates... life's been a little crazy around here. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make our release week such a success. From the in-stores at Vintage Vinyl and Slackers to radio interviews on The Point, The River, and WLCA, to the packed release show at Mississippi Nights, we want to thank EVERYONE involved. It's been great to see how many people share our enthusiasm for this record.

And now, we get to do what we love best - tour. Tour dates have been updated and we keep filling them in, so keep checking back. As most of you know you can get the CD in St. Louis at Vintage Vinyl and Slackers. In Columbia, MO you can get it in the University of Missouri Bookstore and in the Chicago area it's available at the Bloomingdale Tower Records. We're working on several other places in the Midwest and of course you can always buy it right here, by clicking the "STORE" link above. We'll keep you posted.

9.15.2005
But Who Will Save Us?

Broken Bride will be in stores in less than 2 weeks. The CD release show is in 15 days. Are you prepared?

We are! The copies just arrived, and they look incredible. The lyrics are in the booklet along with Marshall's original artwork that really helps bring the story to life. (yeah - that's what it does, it brings the story to life.) The enhanced footage is awesome. You can throw it in your computer and you get a live performance of "Part I: Broken Bride" as well as a short movie on the making of the album. It's pretty funny.

WHERE can i get it??? You will most likely have your first crack at the CD if you pre-order which you can do HERE right now. If you order by Wednesday, September 21st it will be shipped by Friday, September 23rd.

In the event that you do not pre-order, you first chance to get the CD will be at Vintage Vinyl (6610 Delmar) on "The Loop" in St. Louis at 12 midnight on Monday the 26th. On Tuesday the 27th, we know for sure that the CD will be available at Vintage Vinyl and at all Slackers locations, which you can check out HERE. The CD will also be available at The University of Missouri Bookstore in Columbia.

As far as other cities, we'll be announcing where you can buy the CD soon. It won't be everywhere but if Ludo has played your town several times in the last year, chances are you'll be able to find it somewhere near you. We'll also be celebrating the release date with a special in-store acoustic performance at Vintage Vinyl on Tuesday the 27th at 7pm. We'll be hanging out and signing copies of Broken Bride, and the show is totally FREE, so please come join us and get there early! We've got more in-stores at Slackers locations on Wednesday and Thursday, keep an eye on the tour page for more info on that.

And of course, if you can wait that long, you'll be able to buy the CD September 30th at Mississippi Nights where along with other Ludo favorites, we'll be performing the entire rock opera live, in its entirety. Tickets are cheaper if you buy them in advance and they're selling quickly. You can buy tickets HERE. Our last show there sold out, so please act now if you're planning on coming.

Get Ready.

9.01.2005

The Countdown begins...

First of all, all the shows last week were great. Thanks to everyone who came out and to all the bands that played. In particular, we want to thank our new friends from the band Quietdrive. Check em out. The Feeling Better Than Everfine Festival was pretty amazing. We had a blast hanging out, meeting people and checking out some new bands. Special thanks to O.A.R. for inviting us to play. They're a great band and some of the coolest guys we've met.

Lots of cool shows coming up, leading up to the Broken Bride release. Including The Metro in Chicago on Sep. 2nd w/ The Dog and Everything. (If you haven't seen a Ludog show yet...you must!) We're also playing Sep. 6th in Lawrence with the one and only Bowling for Soup. And check out the TOUR PAGE for more upcoming shows with bands like Pomeroy and the newly (but temporarily) reunited Anything But Joey.

And as for our new record.... we've got some news. On September 1st you will be able to pre-order the CD right here at ludorock.com. No matter where you are, pre-sale will most likely be your first crack at owning the Broken Bride EP. Also on Sep. 1st we'll be announcing all Broken Bride Tour dates that are confirmed at that time. AND... tickets for the release show at Mississipi Nights on September 30th are on sale RIGHT NOW!!! They're cheaper in advance, remember to pick yours up soon by clickin HERE.

Other than that, we really can't put into words how excited we are to put this recording out. We've been extremely busy writing, recording, and getting everything together, so if we haven't returned phone calls or emails and such, we apologize. We really appreciate everyone who's stuck with us. We can't wait to get back on the road in October and see all of you! Thanks for everything. -Ludo

Hello all! The last 3 shows were incredible! The video premiere in Columbia was everything we hoped for. Thanks so much to the BUZZ and everyone who came out. We really didn't expect that many people and hope you all enjoyed the video. And special thanks to those who came out early and indulged us during the red carpet ceremony. We really had a good time. Saturday in Madison was more of the same. Big thanks to WMAD for putting the show on and to Go Betty Go and Vendetta Red for rocking like their lives depended on it. Monday night was our first ever headlining show in Chicago and to our surprise Schubas was sold out! It ruled!

As for the "Good Will Hunting by Myself" video we hope to have it on our site and at www.myspace.com/ludorock in the next couple of days, so be patient. In the meantime, they're playing it at www.maniatv.com so head over there and request it NOW. We've also released a few new ringtones that you can check out at http://www.decentx.com/artist.asp?id=78

And, as we announced on Friday we're putting out a new EP this fall! It's called Broken Bride. It will have five songs that all tell the story of a man whose wife dies in a car accident and the lengths he goes to in order to bring her back. We've been working on the songs for a while and we can't wait for you guys to hear the whole thing. It'll be out by October, and a pre-order will be setup before that so stay tuned!

Big shows coming up: this Friday, free show in Indianapolis where we'll be celebrating 2 years as a band! And Saturday July 30th at SOKA fest in St. Louis with Goldfinger!

7.11.2005

The video premiere of "Good Will Hunting by Myself" is Friday in Columbia! Tickets are only $5. It wouldn't be a real premiere without red carpet arrivals, so make sure you're there no later than 7pm to see the bands and other VIP's walk the red carpet in their finest... well just trust us. Get there early, you don't want to miss this. And as many of you know we've got a big announcement to make at that show, so get ready!

First of all, we want to thank everyone for coming out to the Omaha and Lawrence shows last week. They were some of the most fun shows in Ludo history and all the bands ruled. Now the countdown is on for the release of our new video for "Good Will Hunting by Myself." The Premiere party is July 15th at The Blue Note in Columbia, MO and you can get tickets HERE.

We're also very happy to announce that we'll be heading to Ohio to do some "Ambush" rock shows in Cleveland. We're working with a new cell phone company called Revol and we're playing some shows at the retail stores throughout Cleveland to celebrate the company's launch. Convy says you should check Revol out, and that dude knows his cell phones. All the shows will be on the tour page soon, so keep an eye out.

And is if July doesn't have enough going on, we've just been added to WMAD's SUMMER MAD BASH July 16th in Madison, WI. We'll be playing with Go Betty Go, Vendetta Red, and Head Automatica! We can't wait. Oh, and we're busy writing some of the best music we've ever written. Expect to hear some new tunes at the rest of the shows this summer!

YOU CAN WATCH GOOD WILL HUNTING BY YOURSELF...

Or with Us. When we were in California last month we secretly shot a music video for "Good Will Hunting By Myself." The director was a guy named Scott Culver who's done videos for bands like Yellowcard, MxPx, and Hidden in Plain View. We're very excited to unleash this thing, so we're throwing a big party. On Friday July 15th at The Blue Note in Columbia, MO we'll be playing a huge rock show to celebrate. and we've got The Dog & Everything and the F*Bombs coming to help us out. We'll also be showing the video that night for the first time anywhere! Tickets are only $5. It will be our biggest show of the summer and we want you all to be there. Also don't forget that we'll be at the St. Louis Warped Tour - Tuesday June 21st.

And Finally... NEW MERCH! We just got a ton on new merch all of which should be available in the Ludo Store sometime tomorrow. We've got new pins, stickers, patches, and 2 brand new shirts! There's something for everybody, so check it out today...I mean tomorrow.

A little help...

So our good friends in the band Sophomore got into a huge accident on their way back from playing The Taste of Chaos Tour. They're ok, but their van got all messed up, their trailer was destroyed, and all of their equipment was thrown across the highway. Take a second, LOOK AT THE PICTURE, and please make a donation to help them out. CLICK HERE! They're playing with us at Mississippi Nights on April 29th and could really use all the help they can get to get back to 100% in time for the show. THANK YOU!!!

3.21.2005
Plenty of Vitamin B...

Alright, so the Ludo Spring Break has been a raging success so far. Panama City Beach was ridiculous. Thanks to everyone at MTV U for helping us have two great shows and a few days that we'll never forget. South by Southwest was brief but amazing, and we want to thank the bands Jupiter Sunrise, Lojic, and Anchondo for supporting us at our showcase. We're in Lake Havasu, AZ right now and we've had more great weather and more great rock. And in the news...

We play 2 shows there Friday the 11th and Monday on the 14th. You can also catch acts like Fall-Out Boy, Relient K, and Lil' Scappy on the same stage this week. From Florida we head to Austin, TX for a March 16th show at the biggest music festival in the country, South by Southwest. By this point we'll hopefully have dark tans, braided hair, and hang-overs as we head to Lake Havasu, AZ for more Spring Break debauchery. There we'll be headlining the "Family Guy Spring Break Concerts" on March 18th and 25th. They'll be giving out all sorts of "Family Guy" stuff to thousands of Spring Breakers. The Pomeroy tour has been great. Shows have been amazing. And despite destroying us in a Ludo vs. Pomeroy bowling match in Omaha they're awesome guys. Look for the consequences of our loss at the Lawrence show on Saturday. So Friday is the big St. Louis show and we have reasons to believe it's going to be enormous. Reasons like - we're debuting a new song, Pomeroy & Anchondo are playing and it's Tim Convy's birthday! Be there!

...AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hello all. We trust you all had a fabulous Christmas etc.? We did too. We were spread out all over the country but we all ate too much and got fatter. Except for PMO. He only gains weight when his hair gets too long. Either way, we're now reuniting to finish work on some new songs and prepare to finally hit the road again. It's going to be a great start to 2005. We've got dates coming up with Upside, Holden, and Pomeroy as well as huge shows like The Metro in Chicago on January 8th with The Dog and Everything, and ABJ's last show ever February 4th in Kansas City. Check out the Tour page for more.

And don't forget to visit the Ludo Store. The Holiday package is available for just a few more days, so check it out. Thanks so much for making 2004 such a special year for all of us. Have a New Year's full of Rock, and we'll see you in 2005.

12.09.2004
THANK YOU ST. LOUIS

We want to send out a huge thanks to everyone who attended "A Very Ludo Christmas" and helped make it such a special night. From the Ninja Party, the amazing bands, the decorations, the costumes, and everything in between, it was a night that we'll all remember. The place was absolutely packed and it meant so much to us to have so many people come in from all over the country! Look for us back in St. Louis at the end of February.

In other news, the new material is coming along marvelously and we hope to start recording some demos soon. We also hit the road again January 6th and you can expect some HUGE shows throughout the Midwest and Texas, including January 8th at The Metro in Chicago with Empyrean and The Dog & Everything. We'll be adding dates regularly so keep checking the Tour Page.

Also, for all that last minute Christmas shopping don't forget to check out the Ludo Store.

11.26.2004

Hello, Hello. Greetings from The Breaking Fall Tour. Week one has come to an end. Week two starts up tonight in Madison. It's been awesome. College shows, radio interviews, and way too much driving. Thanks to everyone at all the shows. If you weren't planning on catching this tour you should. I have a feeling we may never do anything quite like it. Check the tour diary for details.

And by the way, week two happens to include a little show we're doing Friday at The Casa Loma Ballroom in St. Louis. And we're showing the video bla bla bla, it's going to be ridiculous. www.jadproductions.com

Also, it's all tentative in this line of work, but for those of you who can't make it to the Sneak Preview, we have reason to believe that Fuse will premiere the video for "Hum Along" on October 12th. Stay tuned for more news on this.

And look out West Coast! It does appear that we'll be announcing dates for Ludo's 1st ever West Coast tour. Most likely we'll be heading out in late October so get ready!
